It turns out that my alma mater, Lewis & Clark College, is using Sean B. Carroll's book, The Story of Life, in some of their courses. Despite my common name, they correctly recognized that it was me listed as illustrator and reached out! As a result of that interaction, I made Lewis & Clark this design for their biology graduating seniors. They can't do a normal graduation ceremony this year because of Covid, so students got hand-written congratulations notes instead. This design went on the front of the cards! LC sent me these wonderful flowers as a thank you.

In the design, I used elements of the coursework at Lewis & Clark, and also the research subjects of the various professors.
