I made another diagram for the Bureau of Investigative Journalism in London (first one here). The story is about the algorithms used by the UK government to try and identify sham marriages. My diagram shows how the algorithm effects couples, particularly same-sex couples. For this diagram, I used a purchased stock image for the base characters which I built into the whole diagram. Stock images can be a great way to save time, and quickly leap to new styles! This 3D, angled style of drawing is called 'isometric'. Before I consider using stock images as a part of a diagram, I always talk it over with my clients first. Check out the full diagram in the story!
